It’s been almost half a year since I’ve updated my Gravatar. So to help keep things fresh, and because my wife took a rather nice picture (or three) of me last night when our family played some Creationary (more on that in another post), I pulled that picture and have placed it as my new Gravatar.

If you don’t already know what Gravatar is and how to use it, you should head over there and check it out! Gravatars are used all over the Internet and everywhere on to give you a visual identity.

Configuring a Gravatar will make it appear on this site and on all sites when you comment, on the forums, and when you click the Like button beneath each of my posts.

So this is the new me that’s going to be staring out at you from your monitor when you read something I write—including now slightly curly hair and my partially-formed beard.

What most of these photos tell me is that I need a camera with better low-light performance and a steadier hand. Oddly, my two iPhone pictures are showing up first, even though they were taken pretty late in the week. (Excuse me while I check the date/time settings on my camera.)

In my ongoing effort to create some kind of focus here on this blog, I’ve decided to create a “sub” blog (if you will) to hold things like my links posts and other little things that don’t really belong in this format. It’s going to be updated far more often than this blog is, so I hope you’ll also add it to your RSS feedreaders if you’re listening in on this one.

As I type this entry, it contains a single YouTube embed, but I plan to expand on it to include small anecdotes, quotes, pictures (maybe some moblogging eventually), and whatever other odds and ends I don’t think belong on this blog with this format. What will stay here are the longer-form posts that take more time and editing, as well as picture galleries and the like. Bonus Round is for trivial things.

It’s also using a WordPress theme called P2, which I’ve recently been experimenting with and I think fits this kind of an idea quite nicely.

If you like what you see, leave a comment. Since comments appear on the main page on the Bonus Round, I have moderation turned on. See you there.

Some of you have had conversations with me—especially via Twitter—regarding games of all kinds, so I thought it’d been a while since I’d shared a picture of the game cabinet. I like to do this every once in a while.

You can click on the picture to go to the Flickr page for the photo, which has notes for everything in the cabinet to detail them for you.

I just recently collated the photos I took while in South Dakota into a flickr photoset for your viewing enjoyment, including some pictures of Wylie Park and its Storybook Land sculpture garden. There are some very interesting pictures in there; I hope you’ll take a look at it.

I’m still adding descriptions, and haven’t caught up yet, so there’s an incomplete story there, but I will eventually get around to posting something for a good number of the pictures. The park was semi-closed post Labor Day, so I was the only one there and managed to get quite a few shots of stuff that would have been more difficult had there been more people present. My timing was good.

There are also some pictures I took while making the drive from Aberdeen to Sioux Falls on Route 12 and Interstate 29, two of which have also been grayscaled and added to my wallpapers photoset.
